Restoring GPS Signals After Onboard System Modification
2025-05-05

Background
Following the installation of a ballast water treatment system, multiple onboard radio and navigation devices suddenly lost GPS signals. Previous troubleshooting attempts by other service providers were unsuccessful.

RMS Solution
After boarding the vessel, RMS engineers carried out a detailed diagnosis and identified the root cause within the existing wiring configuration. Targeted modifications were implemented to eliminate signal interference.

Result
Normal GPS signals were restored across all affected equipment, ensuring the vessel’s navigation and communication systems returned to stable operation.
